The Advisory Board

Introduction

Witchcraft is made up of many traditions or various paths, and although each may feel their way is correct, they are unlike other religions very tolerant of each other.  It is therefore possible to create sites that cover many of the various traditions, and draw upon the combined experience, knowledge and views of many people.

Their are of course areas, particularly connected with rituals that some traditions do not feel can be published and likewise by members of those traditions working with us, we can explain what we can, while not spoiling the surprise elements or other special features they offer. The objective however must always be to be completely honest in what we teach, and therefore we would on these occasions omit information, and never give misleading information.

The advisory board does not meet as a committee, but individual members advice us on all topics or on topics of particular interest to them. This is achieved in to ways, firstly by us asking for your opinion or view on some topics, and secondly by posting on special pages within this site general questions that we would like your views on.

Should you join the advisory board?

If you are involved any form of witchcraft, in a tradition, run or are in a coven, or or a solitary, have interest in a topic connected with witchcraft, or for any other reason feel that you would like to have an input into any existing project or suggesting any new ones, then you should become involved, it will take up on only as much or your time as you wish to put in, which could be answering the occasional email, but might also be for some reading and checking for us all information added to some sections of the sites.

If you are new to witchcraft, curious, or members of some other belief system we would of course still value your opinions, but perhaps the better place to start would be at www.school-of-witchcraft.com.

Alternately if you are allergic to forms why not email us telling us as much as you feel able to "join-board @ school-of-witchcraft.org"

Some questions answered.

If witchcraft frightens you, or you believe it is evil, devil worship or similar, then we would point out that many people are scared of what they do not understand, and we invite you to discover that witchcraft is a tolerant belief system that has no devil, is caring, harms no one, and has remained secret over the centuries from well before Christianity, mainly to avoid persecution by those with less tolerant views. We invite you to visit www.school-of-witchcraft.com  and discover more.

Commercialization or witchcraft. Who's making money out of all this? the www.School-of-witchcraft.com  is completely non commercial, takes no advertisements or commissions. www.Book-of-shadows.org  does take some adverts and do get commissions if you link to a commercial site from it and then buy something, but these are small. It is hoped that in the longer term these small incomes will cover the running costs of the projects, however this will not be the case for some time. Some of the adverts are exchange adverts with other sites, and just make it easier for people to discover us, and this will usually be relevant sites or magazines connected with the topics we cover. Editorial control and advertising are handled by two people and advertising does not effect editorial.

Who is funding these sites/projects. A group of covens, but donations are welcome email us if you want to know how to make a donation.

How do I get to the sections of this site that asks for opinions? You need to register or send us an email first, we will then tell you how to get to other sections. You can stay anonymous if you wish, and just register with an email address, although of course we would like to have more idea as to who you are and you level of experience/knowledge.

Why do you need people to register, if they can still be anonymous? We can collate views across different areas, and make it more difficult for those who may try to mislead us, with made up stories by multiple submissions. We will not publish any information that you give us on the registration form or in an email that is personal to you or identifies you or your coven or friends.

Is there an age limit for advisory board membership? No you can be as old as you like, we also particularly would like to hear from young people, however please make it clear if you are under 18 so we don't ask you anything that some may consider inappropriate. If you are under 18 please do not pretend to be older, as we would miss out on so many views we we like to get from you as the coming generation.
